Education

I graduated at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad (Yugoslavia) at the Department of Water Organization and Control in Agriculture. The theme of my diploma work was "Estimation of Constructive Elements at Pumping Stations in Land-reclamation Systems". During my studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in 1991 I took part in the 15th Review of Student’s Scientific and Research Work with international participation, with my work "Possibility of Applying the Analysis of Work in Setting the Necessary Capacity of a Pumping Station".

For the needs of the above noted diploma work and scientific-research work I had made original computer programs which are applicable on IBM PC computers.

I was, enrolled in the graduate studies at the University of Novi Sad, TEMPUS Center’s Environmental Engineering Course, specialization in Water Protection.  Title of my Master of Science thesis was "Surface Water Quality Optimization". My thesis was part of joint South African-Yugoslavian project. At the April of 1997 I started project proposal for joint Romanian-Yugoslavian co-operation that was accepted from Conf.Dr.Ing. Corneliu Davidescu, dean of Universitatea "Politehnica" Timisoara.

In september of 1997 situation in University of Novi Sad, TEMPUS Center become totally unbearable. Serb chauvinists could not restrain themselves no more from showing their true faces. They had to satisfy their pathological and sadistic need to prove their supremacy over non-Serb nationality student. Therefore I was forced to withdraw from participation in projects and my graduate studies. My mentor Prof. Dr. Milorad Miloradov, ex deputy minister for science and technology in government of FR Yugoslavia, and his wife Prof. Dr. Mirjana Vojinovic-Miloradov, director of  TEMPUS Center, exposed me to inhuman treatment endangered my biological existence and forced me to leave. They stole my one year salary, partial results of my research, recognition for my work and blackmailed me to work for them until project in South Africa ends if I want my MSc degree. When I left they hired and started paying regularly 4 Serb nationality "students" Igor Jajcanin, Milica Maksimovic, Biljana Abramovic and Sanja Rodic (somebody has to do the job).

I attended following summer schools:

Skills

During my undergraduate and graduate studies I had published (on Serbo-Croatian and English language) 21 full paper and 10 abstracts.

I gave lectures as part time teaching assistant at University of Novi Sad, TEMPUS center’s course Environmental System Analyses - Part II and at University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture, department of Water Organization and Control in Agriculture’s course Static of Civil Engineering Constructions.

Main field of my research is application of multiobjective iterative compromise optimization in environmental quality evaluation and protection. As far as I know I started a new approach toward air and water quality evaluation by method of multiobjective iterative compromise optimization on various comparable locations.

On the basis of my research two projects had been started: joint South African-Yugoslavian project "Feasibility of GIS Based Integrated Cadastre for Point and Non Point Sources of Aquatic Pollution and Its Integration Into Multiobjective Analyses and the Planing of Pollution Control" and joint Romanian-Yugoslavian project "Evaluation of the Water Quality on the International Romanian-Yugoslav Rivers".

I worked on Macintosh, PC (under DOS, WINDOWS, and OS2 operating systems) and DIGITAL’s ALPHA (under WINDOWS NT operating system) computers. I worked with following software: MSWORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, COREL, QUATTRO, SPSSWIN, CANVAS, DESK SCAN, NETSCAPE, NORTON utilities, ARC VIEW, HYPER CHEM, etc. (who could remember them all). I produced various statistical reports from wide range of areas.

I wrote original computer programs applicable on PC computers for the needs of specifics hydrological data analyses (whenever it was necessary) and Static of Civil Engineering Constructions (Cross method of iteration).

I also worked organizational, operational and technical jobs at TEMPUS center.

For three years I was working as consultant at University of Novi Sad, TEMPUS Centre. I linked professors and students, professors and professors, students and students in all departments of interdisciplinary Centre for environmental engineering education - TEMPUS Centre.

I facilitated professors and students travel (reimbursement of traveling costs and lodgings). I prepared numerous various notifications for students and professors. I helped in preparations of and sent invitations for collegium meetings. I helped in reception of visiting professors and gave technical assistance in enabling their lectures. I helped in organization of three TEMPUS’s summer schools (two in Kotor-Montenegro and one in Vajska-Vojvodina). I organized and leaded students’ trip to international student week in Timisoara - Romania and European Youth Convention in Cracow - Poland. I organized various mandatory one-day scientific excursions, as well as informal (of duty) gatherings between students and their professors in order to overcome differences and establish closer relationships among them.

Beside Serbo-Croatian language, I speak read and write in English, Russian and Hungarian.

Career Goals

I would like to get an MSc degree from the field of environmental sciences.

I would like to get a PhD degree from the field of environmental sciences, also.

I would like to publish a book with the results of my research from the field of environmental sciences. Title of the book would be:

GUIDE FOR OPTIMAL WATER QUALITY EVALUATION.

Some of the main subtitles would be:

WATER QUALITY EVALUATION BY METHOD OF MULTIOBJECTIVE ITERATIVE COMPROMISE OPTIMIZATION (MICO)
WATER QUALITY EVALUATION BY METHOD OF MULTIPLY MULTIOBJECTIVE ITERATIVE COMPROMISE OPTIMIZATION (MMICO)
I would like to get a job adequately paid and appropriate to my abilities preferably in the field of environmental sciences.

I would like to live as a free man without a fear for my life.

Family Background

My name is János. I am member of Hungarian national minority that lives in Serbia - Yugoslavia. Our family name spelled on Hungarian is Krizsán. Due to the laws of Yugoslavia name that occurs in my identification cards and other documents is Krizan Janos. On my trips in neighboring countries Slovakians, Croatians and Slovenians claimed that family name Krizan belong to their nationality. I assume that this could be explained by fact that all these nations once created multiethnic Austro-Hungarian empire. My family always claimed that we are Hungarians. I was born on March 8th 1963 in Újvidék (Novi Sad). We originate from territories of today’s Vajdaság (Vojvodina). Vajdaság (Vojvodina) had been truly multiethnic Hungarian territory that was in 1944 occupied by Serbia (Yugoslavia). Vajdaság (Vojvodina) consists from 3 regions: Szerémség (Srem), Bánát (Banat) and Bácska (Backa). It is situated in northern part of  today’s Serbia (Yugoslavia),  so it is geographically in central Europe.

My father and my grandfather names are also János while my grand grandfather's name is András. Some said details of my grand father and his father could be found on Internet.

My father was born on December 20th 1927 in Sajkáslak. He got seek and died under suspicious circumstances in Futog on July 29th 1995.

My grandfather was born on September 7th 1902 in Maradik Ürög (Irig). He died as a victim of genocide against Hungarians in winter of 1944 along with other Hungarians in Sajkáslak.

There has been several attacks on my life for this unforgettable sin of being Hungarian and living in a more than millennium old land of my ancestors. It is well possible that at this moment when you are viewing this home page of mine, what you are actually viewing is my epitaph.
